FLYING YOUR PETS BY PRIVATE JET

UPDATED 26 FEB 2024

Looking to fly your dog, cat, or other domestic pet by private jet?

Many pet owners are opting for the flexibility and comfort a private jet charter can provide them and their furry friends.  Rather than being placed out of sight in a commercial aircraft hold, when you fly your pet by private jet your companion can remain right by your side in the aircraft cabin.

For clients relocating permanently (or for many months at a time), private charters prove to be the safest and most direct way of transporting pets.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not sell individual seats, we only charter the entire aircraft.
E.g Prices for a flight between the UK and the west coast of the USA would begin at around EUR 90,000.

What are the rules for flying with your pet by private jet?

The pet must meet the legal requirements of the country they’re flying to.

For instance:

When flying between the UK and EU, pets must have an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) issued by a UK vet within 10 days of departure; or an EU Pet Passport. Pets traveling in either direction must also be micro-chipped and vaccinated against rabies, plus dogs must have had a tapeworm treatment.

We must be notified of your intention to fly with your pet at the time of booking your flight. Only certain jet operators are approved to fly with pets, so we will need prior notice to source the correct aircraft for you.

Pets traveling to the United States must be at least eight weeks old and fully weaned with a valid health certificate.

Please book a check-up at the vet within 10 days of your flight, to ensure the pet is in good health, and get professional advice on preparing them for the journey.

Please do not give your pet excessive amounts to eat and drink before flying. It’s also a good idea to exercise dogs before departure.

Be prepared that during the flight pets must be safely secured for take-off, landing, and during turbulence, so please bring a harness or pet crate.
