Many commercial flights are being cancelled this Easter, due to a lack of staff after thousands of people left the aviation industry during the pandemic.
The staff shortages are also leading to long queues at security and check-in for the flights which are still going ahead. The challenge of replacing staff is forcing some flight operators remove routes from sale until May.

Private charter flights are a good alternative for some customers. Privately chartered flights are not operated according to a fixed schedule, but on an ad-hoc basis on behalf of one or more customers, who want a group of people to travel together.  An aircraft is rented for the day, time and route that the customer wishes. Private charter customers can depart from & arrive to airports closer to their homes and final destinations.
