FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX SUNDAY 9 JULY 2023
Helicopter to Silverstone:
A key highlight of the Formula One calendar, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone is one of the most anticipated events in the English summer season, and one of the world’s premier motor racing events.
Located in Northamptonshire in the English countryside, Silverstone Circuit first held the British Grand Prix in 1950 and has since established itself as one of the most famous races in Formula 1. The track is designed to challenge every aspect of a driver’s technique, skill and bravery, combining slow chicanes and hairpins with long sweeping bends and fast straights.
If you’re planning to attend, the best way to arrive is by helicopter.
Heli Landing Sites:
Helicopter flights direct to the British Grand Prix are readily available, because the racecourse has it’s own permanent helipad, permitting twin engine helicopters to land.
Please note; On race day Silverstone heliport becomes the world’s busiest heliport, so landing time slots are allocated and strictly adhered to.
The landing fee payment to obtain your slot must be paid in advance is non refundable.
Upon your arrival to the helipad a representative from your VIP hospitality provider will collect you by car, but you must arrange this with your provider directly.
If no slots are available to land directly at Silverstone a nearby alternative is Turweston Aerodrome.

To reserve a ticket for the bus service please contact Turweston Flight Centre Ltd 01280 705400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Airports for international arrivals:
For larger aircraft London Luton and Birmingham airports are the nearest options for private jets. Both are located about 50 miles from Silverstone. For smaller aircraft Cranfield Airport offers a more intimate experience 18 miles from the racetrack. During the event, Cranfield airport is dedicated to Grand Prix visitors.
Turweston Aerodrome is the closest option, just seven miles away, but typically only accommodates pistons, single turbines, twin turbines, very light jets such as the Cessna Citation Mustang, and light jets with short runway performance like the Cessna Citation CJ3.
