The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a competitive B to C telephone based, or face to face, sales role. This is an opportunity for someone with a passion for sales and new business development, and great interpersonal skills, to use your existing skills as a launchpad into one of the most exciting and luxurious service industries.

TRAINEE COMMERCIAL JET CHARTER BROKERS

To complement our continued growth, an opportunity exists for two trainee commercial jet charter brokers to join our renowned private jet charter company at the head office in Horsham, near Gatwick.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for aviation to work with airlines and customers all around the World.  Aviation experience is not vital as full training will be given, but someone with enthusiasm, drive and a ‘can do’ attitude will positively thrive in the role. You will be a people person, one that has a good, confident phone manner and allied with great interpersonal skills, as this will help you build your own customer sales list, and to deal directly with airlines on a daily basis.

For the first 12 months you will be trained and mentored in every aspect of commercial aircraft sales, broking, account and customer management by the Commercial Jets Director. This detailed and comprehensive training ensures you have the support required to build both your knowledge and your own portfolio of clients. A typical commercial jet charter client will be sports teams and fans (football, motorsport & rugby being the biggest charterers) pop groups and musicians on tour, Conference, Meetings & Incentive trip clients, Government & military.


KEY AREAS OF YOUR ROLE:

  • Building an expert knowledge of commercial airline aircraft available for charter – this is anything from 20 seats up to B747/A380/A340

  • Building a strong portfolio of end user clients and personally managing their accounts

  • Supplier relationship management – including attending industry events and functions

  • Managing charter bookings end-to-end, from enquiry stage through to the final post flight report.

  • Overseeing flight departures & arrivals, UK and overseas.

  • Flight watching all charters

  • Full time

In addition to having the ambition, drive and self-motivation to be a success, you’ll actively enjoy the challenge of problem solving, thinking and working under pressure, negotiating, talking with sales targets and clients both in person and on the phone.

Aviation is not an exact science so the job isn’t always 9-5, some flexibility will at times be required. There will be travel, some international, so a valid driving licence and passport are necessary.
